As an elevator fitter, you assemble the mechanical, electromechanical and electronic components to make an elevator. The profession requires extensive knowledge in electrical, mechanical and plant engineering as well as mechanics. In the first and second year of the apprenticeship you complete the basic training as a polytechnician or as a system and apparatus builder in one of our regional training centers. Then you will be trained in the basics of elevator technology for several weeks at the company's Lift Camp. In the third and fourth year of the apprenticeship you carry on with the main specialized training as an elevator fitter on construction sites, where you are constantly supported by a supervisor.
